Buy a tree branch as a perch with various shapes and textures. Include artificial twigs and some natural tree branches as a variation. This branch helps sharpening the claws and the bird’s beak so you do not have to bother. Just make sure to scrub the natural tree branch thoroughly before using it, and do not use any cleaning products because these products contain toxic materials for birds.
Put the feed and toys in various places around the cage every day. In this way, the need for birds to move will be fulfilled because the bird must move while looking for food. You can also slip food in the cage bars, hide them in toys and hang food on top or sides of the cage. All of these things will help satisfy the bird’s search instinct and as a form of mental stimulation.
Make birds accustomed to hold. Hold and coax birds regularly. The more you hold it, the more excited your bird sees you and the bird may greet you with whistling, chirping, and singing. By often holding it, you can check bird health more easily and the bird will be more comfortable with your presence.
